Frame Relay PING 255.255.255.255 details needed....

Gurus!!

I am configuring FR, can anyone explain this ping

ping 255.255.255.255 repeat 1 etc

does this mean..... ONLY BROADCAST ENABLED ips will reply...for which we
have done mapping frame relay map ip xxxxx pvc broadcast
and how this work in inverse arp..whats the default?
