MPLS LDP Session Protection

Hi,

I was reading a document from Cisco and it had a conflicting statement. At
one point it was mentioned that the LDP Targeted Hello Adjacency is retained
indefinitely after an LDP session is lost while at another place it is
mentioned that it is retained for 86400 seconds (24 hours). Which one is
correct?

Also, is this an important topic for CCIE SP lab exam?
