Hi All,
I have a 3750G switch running the latest code with the IP Base feature
set. I have enabled distributed multicast on the switch. However I
cannot enter any "ip pim" commands except for the stub command. Cisco
provides the feature description of "PIM Stub" as "Provide basic PIM
connectivity support for IPbase images".
If I have a multicast source in one vlan, and client PC's in another
vlan on the same switch, is the base image sufficient?
For example if the source server is in vlan 100 with an address of
239.1.1.100, and the user pc's are in vlan 200, is it enough to join the
group under vlan 100 - such as:
interface vlan 100
ip igmp join-group 239.1.1.100
end
Or do I also have to add the same join-group to vlan 200?
Best regards, Andy
