well PRAKASH I fully agree with you , I have tried that also , the BGP SEND
label is working fine for one leg which only works for point-to-point link
between the ASBR R9 and the first router R6 connected to it, the problem comes
when I am trying to further expand the LSP from R6 to R2 which is another
ASBR.
R9--------R6-------R2
its only ebgp between the three and the routes are exchainging easily. The
problem is that the LSP is not completed btw these three !
R7/R8(not drawn above) which are both connected to R9 are vpnv4 peered with
R2(ebgp-multihop)
We have VRF's on R2 and R7/R8. The routes are exchanged end to end but its the
LSP making troubles.
One more point why do we require to put match mpls label and set mpls label on
R6 , since we are just running bgp labels for the both ebgp links on R6, when
its working fine for one leg (towards R9) why not for the other (towards R2)
??

You need a send-label between R9---R6 and R6--- R2 and do not forget to set
and match the mpls label where ever necessary

Hi Asfer,
Pls paste the tracroute for respective sites and ping responses along with
related configurations if possible.
So that we can troubleshoot.
