Mike,
Ya really have to look at what BGP was designed for. Scalability not FAST
Convergence. Since BGP is built to route External prefixes, you trust it
more than ANY IGP to route those prefixes. The answer holds true in reverse.
You would always choose the IGP for Internal as they were built to converge
faster. (except RIP of course.:-))
