Senthil,

I would highly recommend working with expect. Expect is an extension of TCL with even more capabilities built in. I run all my stuff with expect from a Linux machine against routers. It is a very intuitive scripting as well.

But for TCL the book Marko is recommending is probably pretty good, I haven't ever read any books on TCL only the "exploring expect" by the author of expect.
