So today I got a marketing email from a fairly well-known rack rental vendor
(don't really feel like calling them out, so I won't say who, but it wasn't
one of the "big two"). It reads, in part:
Due to an increased number of users coming to us using the cciecert lab
workbooks, we have modified our physical topology to better map to those
labs.
I exchanged a couple of emails with them, and the justification went from
"cciecert labs are no more real than INE or IPexpert" to "I'm sure Cisco
knows all about it and if they cared they'd shut them down" and "this is
what our customers are asking for, and we have to compete with Dynamips".
They're of course free to run their business however they like, but does anyone
else find it incredibly depressing?
