To answer your question: they want you to configure it exactly as they
expect. From your description, it appears likely that you interpreted the
requirements or restrictions differently than they intended. Have you taken
a few graded assessment labs? By giving you detailed feedback they can
often help you to become aware of interpretation issues. In the lab the
"right" answer is the one that gets you the points.
I can recommend the Cisco360 graded assessment labs, especially the 7 graded
assessment labs that are part of my CIERS2 Online course. I am sure others
will also have suggestions.
