Thanks for BGP trick. I was doing this already by typing all neighbors in
notepad and pasting to all routers but "show history" is even faster. Thanks

Experts et all,

It's been over a week now that i had my breakthrough. I have decided
that i'll keep sharing my success tips as they come to me. I shared some
last week in my victory speech :).

This post is about speed. I think this is key in succeeding in this race.
There are tons of tricks, well maybe not tricks, rather means (if that
sounds better) that could aid your speed in the exam. Few of these tips that
we might all already know are;

   - Let notepad be your pen
   - CISCO DOC CD your bible
   - If you can avoid using multiple windows, that is; the only wife you
   should have in the lab is the term-server other devices should be its
kids
   :)

 and so on ...

Now lets get to the ones i discovered during my prep....I called them the
magical commands.

Like the one that makes you configure full mesh ibgp on multiple devices in
5 mins...I am sure someone must have said impossible,
Well it is and the command is *"do show history"* in config mode. How does
this work? I'll tell you..

If i have to configure bgp xxx on Routers; R1,R2,R3 and R4 with a full ibgp
mesh.. This is what i do.

*On router R1*
Conf t
Router bgp xxx
nei a.b.1.1 remote-as xxx (i am sure in your mind, you'll say this guy is
nut for peering a device with itself, just hold your breadth i'll explain
later)
nei a.b.2.2 remote-as xxx
nei a.b.3.3 remote-as xxx
nei a.b.4.4 remote-as xxx
bgp router-id a.b.1.1 ( note that putting this in the last line was
intentional,( someone might say order is important but then,* Reload* does
the magic of re-ordering the commands)

Then i'll apply one of my magical commands "*do show history*" which shows
me the message below as part of my last typed commands"

 Router bgp xxx
nei a.b.1.1 remote-as xxx
 nei a.b.2.2 remote-as xxx
nei a.b.3.3 remote-as xxx
nei a.b.4.4 remote-as xxx

so the next step is to copy these and paste on the rest of the devices. and
on each configure the respective router-ids.

*Now the reason i decided to peer R1 with itself is because i know the
router will reject the command but then i'll still have it as part of my
show history output, thus i can copy it and paste on other devices*.

Try this method out and if you don't finsh ibgp config in 5 mins...I owe you
lunch...that's if you are close to me and you are not a snail on the
keyboard :).

I ll stop for now and share some more in the future.....

By the way this is me paying back for the wealth of knowledge i got from
this forum :)
