bgp default route

hi all,
I do have 2 questinos .

1-Rack6R1(config-router)#neighbor 164.6.18.8 default-originate
By using neighbor xxxx default-originate I ama able to send negihbor a
default route.

But in INE solutions answer is also required that neigbor xxx perfix-list
yyy out which prefix list matches a default route.

Do we need this or what are the differences?

2-address-family ipv4 unicast vrf xxxx is this the same thing
address-family ipv4 vrf xxxx

?
