The sharing of load is done in a more restricted form like per packet or
per destination

The Load Balancing is done more dynamically based on the actual load of the
traffic.

per packet load sharing is *not* a recommended method in most cases as that
may cause high packet reordering and the per destination can be not
so efficient as once the router selected a path for a destination it will
not change it even if the load will be extremely high to that destination.

Cisco router's do load sharing and not load balancing
