Re: OT 911 Anniversary

 The nuclear bombs were dropped on August 6th and August 9th, so it
would be a different day for remembering those people. No matter what
religion you are, I'm sure there is pretty much agreement that killing
people is wrong. (What about countries where they have death penalty
for crimes? Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that
killing people is wrong?)

Each religion's texts have some reference to the above. And every
story/hiSTORY has multiple sides to it.

Not everything can be tied to religious motivation. Not everything can
be linked together in a causal relationship. If someone is seeking
justification for their actions, this is often the case, but rarely is
it 100% correct.

So if one religion decides to hate another because of something done
hundreds or thousands of years ago, knock yourself out. But don't come
whining to/around me about it, because I didn't cause the problem to
begin with. None of us were alive then. I'm pretty sure that none of
us were directly involved in ANY of the circumstances mentioned here
(from a decision-making point of view).

Any before any flaming starts on this, know that I've studied history
and religions quite a bit, and certainly have opinions about it, but
here is not the place.

If you feel like hating each other, please do it quietly so the rest of
us can enjoy the weekend and/or continue working on CCIE things...

My two cents worth, although I'm sure it's someone else's fault from a
thousand years ago that I'm saying it.... ;)
