Thank God that you guys liked the workbook; the idea behind the Advanced
CCIE R&S 2.0 is to teach the protocols and SOME of their behaviors. When I
wrote that workbook, the main challenge was the topology; the idea is to use
minimum number of devices to describe a very complex feature. That approach
makes a complex topic easier to digest, when you keep the IP addressing and
the topology simple, the focus goes on the main subject. This work book is
constantly being upgraded.
The Boot camp 2.0 has a different philosophy, the assumption is that you
have completed the Advanced CCIE R&S 2.0, because this workbook is a tough
one, and i mean it; it covers EVERY item in the blueprint including
root/loop guard. The philosophy of this one is to "Configure, Verify and
TEST". The testing aspect is what teaches you the subject, if it uses simple
tools like "Ping".
Oskar, the reason Terry Vinson has the work book is that he would not give
up so he purchased it even though it is NOT completed, but it should finish
soon. The reason it's not on the website is because it's not completed.
I heard that the other vendors (INE and IPexpert) have also come up with new
products and I am SURE that they are *excellent.*
