Ok, thanks for the responses but i am still confused.

Would i be right in saying that the MTU on a switch cannot be changed
at an interface level.
Therefore if we want to change the MTU we would either need to use the
"system mtu" command or change the MTU
on a specific VLAN. So what is the difference between these two methods?
