If you are talking the R&S lab then you "have" to use the access-server... I am not going to imply that it's a requirement but there is only one monitor and there is just not enough room to have everything open at one time.

I tried it with the opening a separate window for each device and trying to find correct window among the sea of windows is enough to take your mind off of what your doing just long enough to have to re-read the question and the hunting begins again.

I know Marko did a nice simple tutorial on how to quickly navigate using the access-server and once you get used to it, you can jump between devices much faster!
