Mate ..

Whatever you do .. Write ping commands in notepad / write a TCL script
etc etc .... Point to be noted is how and when are you using this ,

For ex .. once you are done with say task X in your exam .. run the
script to see if all destination are reachable ..
Do next task .. again run script .. just to figure out if this task
has not broken previously running pings ..

This helps in better isolation of errors that u might introduce .
