RE: OT: CCIE count?

Many old timers have left the biz for management, CFA or MBA roles and don't need the IE to configure t-1 routers any more at ISP's that now do that off shore.

So it's clear the pressure to get the cert (especially in a bad recession is gone).

Fewer than 300 people have EVER climbed K2...

Who cares about all these numbers- back to studying...

Last time Cisco published CCIE stats (september 2009 ?) the total count was
aver 20000. This list shows about 9500. Who is right ?
