Many old timers have left the biz for management, CFA or MBA roles and don't need the IE to configure t-1 routers any more at ISP's that now do that off shore.
So it's clear the pressure to get the cert (especially in a bad recession is gone).
Fewer than 300 people have EVER climbed K2...
Who cares about all these numbers- back to studying...
