Thanks Kambiz,
I have used GNS3 extensively, and specially with 2961 L2 vlan support is
very good.
My lab exam is 4 weeks away... just wanted to fine tune L2 stuff on 3560, so
was looking for cheap online racks.
GN3+3560 is also very good idea but not finding reasonable cost 3560.. .let
me know if anyone interested selling 3560s?
BTW how much 3560 cost?
Cheers.

Subject: Re: Cheapest CCIE RS Rack Rentals?
Sam,
I'd say GNS.
When it comes to CCIE R&S we're talking about "general" and "special"
configurations. You can play with the general stuff (70-75% of the exam) at
a VERY low cost.
GNS was not that good in the past but today it seems pretty mature. Now, you
don't have to deal with learning Dynagen and other text based stuff. Install
it like a simple Windows app and drive it through.
Moreover, today you can purchase a decent PC off ebay for less than $300 and
run 12.4T on 10-15 routers.
I need advanced switching feature. Now what? If you can afford some switches
that would be great otherwise as a nice practice you can "customize" your
scenarios and eliminate direct switching, I do this all the time for my
students. You can then pay a lot less to rent a rack just to practice some
L2 features. Feel free to drop me a line if you need more info.
A further saving step can be taken by purchasing outdated cheap 3550s and
then a small rack time budget can easily cover 3560 specific features things
like QoS, PVLANs and IPv6.
Having said that, I've seen an R&S home rack built at less than $300
(general topics only) :)
Finally, if you're at the beginning of your journey I recommend GNS until
you feel you're done with all the general designs and configs.
