I was in your position in the beginning of this year, I was starting with
R&S but somehow I wanted to specialize in voice.. I had this idea in mind as
voice is all over the market - "I cannot become a CCIE at something if I
dont know fundamentals technologies that are present in my daily work", so I
took the CCVP certification in about 6 weeks (I attended those bootcamps
end-to-end solution) then I moved back to R&S where I find myself studying
today.
Good luck and go for it!
btw, CIPT-2 and TUC sucks!!
