Another potential way to avoid RPF failures is to set the
spt-threshold to infinity, assuming your RPF failures are only with
the source, and not the RP.
Routers perform RPF checks on the RP when using a *,G, and on the
source when using S,G. Setting the spt-threshold to infinity will stop
from switching to the shortest path tree and avoid those RPF failures.
