Hmmm, I am not sure what the difference is between normal vs binary telnet
actually. But this is what I do know: if you configure a rotary group
number, it works both with 3000 and 7000 port ranges.
So a rotary group 1 for example, will work for telnet on ports 3001 and
7001. Try it out and see although I am not sure if I cover your
question/concern there.
