RE: 6509 and VSS ??

Last I heard VSS and Redundant Sups wasn't an option.

However, the thought process you have is. IE, have two 10G links diversified to two different blades. If you have a 10G line card in each chassis as well, you can use one of those.

I've only installed one VSS solution utilizing one sup per chassis and utilizing the two 10Gb modules that are on the sups. Works great, recommended IOS is 122-33.SXI or greater.

I agree this isn't really CCIER+S, but granted it's within scope I'm always happy to help. I'd rather see these types of questions rather than,
        "What does the CCIE Interface look like?"
        "Where is instructor A and what color underwear are they wearing today?"
        Or
        "I'm looking to start the CCIE track and would like *free* material."

On a side note, hitup Cisco's NetPro for some help too. There's a lot of crazy cats out there with skills.
