ipv6 fragmentation

Hi Experts,

I have question regarding Ipv6 fragmentation. I know that MTU discovery
happens in case of Ipv6 and source can fragment packet accordingly.
My question is if source is unable to fragment the packet, is there any way
to fragement packet ipv6 in core if encountered with smaller MTU then packet
size ?
