Hey Bretheren CiscoMania,

Although I live in Canada, I can definitely relate to your situation. I had
similar dilemma when I first moved to Canada almost a decade ago. Some
employers feel more comfortable hiring local candidates with regards to
their experience and educational background.

The only way I could get into the system was to get an additional degree
from here, in addition to my previous work experience, degree and IT
certifications.

So while youre hunting down jobs, and even after you get the job, Upgrade
yourself academically, and if possible dedicate some time to study and go
for your second attempt on the CCIE lab.

The job market is a mind game especially in this turbulent economy; the
moment you let it get to you, life becomes a routing loop.

Stay positice and hopefully ull b getting something sooner rather than
later.

Cheers
C.
