if you are asking about this scenario,

router ospf 1
network 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 area 100
int fa0/0
ip add 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
ip ospf area 0

the interface one will get the preference. here area 0 would be enabled on
interface fa0/0
