It depends on what memory allocation you need for L2 vs L3 processes.
Default is equal memory between the two. Routing provides preference to
routing.

In other to enable IPv6 SDM on a switch; which is the accepted command out
of the two?

sdm prefer dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 routing
or
sdm prefer dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 default
