Right,
Plus you have to be an "active" 10 year CCIE! This means if you are
suspended, you have to pass the written test, pay extra fee and then
beg Cisco every year to extend your Emeritus status. If you are an
inactive CCIE veteran, you have to take the lab to "re-activate" your
status prior to applying (based on the rules they presented)!
Judging on on this, it seems that paying $350 and recertifying every
two years might be an easier option, which also keeps your status
active :) Or just letting your CCIE lapse but telling people "I once
used to have a number below 9000" :)
