OT: AP goes down after RRM Channel Change

Hello,

Has anybody seen this behaviour before?

We have an 802.11g AP. The channel changes from 6 to 1 due to interferance
then the radio on the AP immediately resets.

Is this normal, I was under the impression the radio would not reset if the
channel changed, I've tried looking around for answers but can't seem to
find anyone :)
