Hi Group

Would like to thank all those who replied to my post , going forward I
would like to update my post and make it beneficial to every member .

*First OEQ *

Mpls , please read the MPLS fundamental for at least 3 times

BGP , how it behaves in unicast , multicast and VPN , MBGP and multi hope
BGP ,

Lab it up and see the next hope , send aggregate address and see how it
looks in different areas , know how to use BGP attributes , BGP label size ,
RR , confederation and label binding

ISIS expect a question from this protocol foe sure since it is more
relevant to SP than OSPF , so please cover it well , ISIS levels , circuit ,
areas , system ID , difference of L1 / L2/L1-L2 hello , DIS , I mean as
much as you can of this protocol

Ospf - Areas , DR , net types , how it behaves when redistributed in
bgp throw
the VPN with different process ID and domain ID , LSA types , sham link ,
and .

TE , QOS and multicast

Frame relay , know the DLCI defaults and ranges , DE , how it is carried In
the SP network , connectivity to sp , LMI , encapsulation and ..

AT M , many in this protocol , however focus more on what relevant to SP ,
like atm types AAL , UNI NNI , ILMI , PNNP , ATM integration with MPLS ,
and

Please do not visit the SP lab without minimum knowing the above .

*Second the LAB *

I am sure those who are ready for the lab have solved a complex labs ,
like
how to configure IGP , MPLS , BGP , VRF , TE , PPPOE , ATM , MBGP and ,
three options of the inter- AS , multicasting and RPF failure , please
understand this well specially when it is coupled with TE , so multicast and
you have a tunnel , why u would have RPF failure and how to solve it .
intra as multicast , VPN multicast , QOS , security .

Once u have practiced this u will go to the lab and find a strange behavior
 , examples

1. MPLS configured correct but no labels

2. VRF not working

3. Your LDP broke sudden

4. The switch not working correct

5. ISIS behaving strange

6. No error but show run , then the command is not set ( OHHH ) ,
like you configure a parameter under the interface and no error reporting
, then immediately sh run int , will not show the command entered

So you will panic and losing the control .

My advice

Most of what been mentioned above is a bugs in cisco OS and will appear only
in a special case , like when you configure ISIS and then you put TE , or
any two or three options together .

They designed the lab in a way to reproduce those bugs so they will drive
the candidate like a victim to reproduce the bug .

Solution is to lab it in a similar os , use online racks and see what will
be different than it is in your dynamips .

Many problems can be solved by a reload , like you configure MPLS correct
but you cannot see the labels , so please reload , I would say I have
reloaded 5 times .

Finally learn how to use the notepad , most of the lab is preconfigured so
you need just to go throw the config and know the problems .

I have managed to finish before the lunch and I left the lab more than hour
before tha lab finish because I was so focus in the first 4 hours and lost
my energy .

Smokers please reduce your dependence on the segarate before the lab , you
are not allowed to smoke for 8 and half hours

Sleep very very very well

Manage your stress and do not let a bug out you down , move forward and
once you are done with the full section reload and verify .

Verify after each section to be sure you have meet the expectations .

Remove any unnecessary config , I have seen this working in R&S but not in
SP , like do not keep unused ACL , ip community list , Rout map ,

Remove the aliase . , you do not want to any think to stop the script or
the script to give a mismatch .

Hope it will be a beneficiary for all folks who are ready for the SP .

Good luck

Dayaa
