Tyson,
Thanks to M.Lammerse it turns out that the 3550's and 3560's don't support
PIM Bidirectional Mode. Here is one link that talks about unsupported
commands on the 3560 and you can check the Cisco Software Advisor and both
of these confirm that BiDir is not supported on either one of the switches.
That's weird how the lab solution has a 3550 with a working solution where
Cisco doesn't support that feature on those platforms.
