Subject: Re: ASA active standby multi contexts
Hello,
The question posed was is there a document out there
support active standby multi context mode?
It is either Active/Standby which is for single context mode, where a context
is active on one ASA and standby on the other waiting for the 1st to fail. And
there is the active/active mode which means one context active on one ASA &
the other context active on the 2nd ASA and they both backup each other. If
you want to create multiple contexts and would like to have one Active ASA for
all contexts and the other one as a backup. Create a single failover group
where one ASA is the primary and the second is secondary and tie all your
contexts to this failover group.
Best Regards,

Put all your contexts on one group, it's the same as A/S at that point.

That document referances failover of active active which you are required to
do multi context mode. The question posed was is there a document out there
support active standby multi context mode?
