Hey guys,
I assisted Narbik's bootcamp last week at Philadelphia, and I
would like to share some feedback with the group as I know this kind of
feedback from other users was the one that helped me the most when I needed
some direction.
As everybody knows the bootcamp is 5 days long, and covers mainly switching,
QOS, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, MPLS, BGP and Multicast.
I think this class is absolutely on the money, Narbik is very sharp, he knows
the stuff in deep and which is much more important, he knows how to TEACH the
technologies;
the way I see it is basically, that it doesn't matter how much I know about a
certain topic if I cannot make you understand it; Narbik makes the class fun,
he makes up analogies and stories for each technology on the run as needed to
help you understand the technologies; He also makes you TEST every single one
of them so that you see how they work with your own eyes.
Narbik is very connected with the class and aware of whats going on, its not
like he is just lecturing and moving forward as fast as he can; if you didn't
fully understand a certain topic he will figure it out just by looking at your
face and re-explain it to you on a different way.
The week was very intense from 9am up to 11:30 pm some days, with some meal
breaks to let your brain rest a little bit, I'm actually very happy it turned
out that way cause you get the most out of that week!
so, overall, I didn't just spent a week there picking up some fancy ninja
commands, I actually got a deep understanding on how does each of those
technologies work out of the bootcamp, and I though that was absolutely
brilliant.
I strongly recommend this bootcamp to anyone who want to take the CCIE lab
seriously, you will not only learn a lot but you will also have a good time. I
was very conservative when it came to spend money on my preparation since my
company is sponsoring my CCIE preparation and I had to spend the cash myself,
but after last week I'm convinced that it was the best money I ever spent and
I'm very happy I did.
Anyways, got some workbooks to work with now, booking my lab for September.
HTH
thanks,
Federico.
