Since there's no plans to announce a $1,000 lab attempt, there's no NDA
to break in this matter.
Yes, as a CLSP, we do get information ahead of time that we can not
release to the public, but this certainly does not apply with this
situation. If there actually WAS going to be a reduction in price in the
future, and they had told the learning partners to "keep it under wraps
until the announcement" then it would certainly be a problem...
If you want to post questions directly to CLN to get a direct response
from Cisco, or open a case with Cisco, then go ahead. I hate to see
stupid rumors floating around GS or any other forums, so I was simply
trying to assist the actual people who are preparing for their lab
exam...hopefully folks will focus on preparing for the lab exam and stop
contributing to the stupid rumors and trolls.
thanks,
Brad

Brad,
I had no idea Cisco made a habit of breaking NDA with you. It's not a
good idea to announce that to this list :)
Seriously though, think about it.
If it's only a rumor, they'd say that it was.
If it's really going to happen, they'd say it was a rumor until it was
official announced.
The only way you'd really know about something like this (Core Knowledge
waivers) ahead of an official announcement would be if you were part of
the process developing it; and even then, you'd be bound by NDA to tell
anyone, until it was officially announced.

I got confirmation from the nice gentleman at Cisco in charge of the
