Thanks for the link and explanations.

What is "better" to do, use "capability vrf-lite" or manually change the tag
or manually change the domain-tag on the ospf process.
Is there any other solution?

This is for " It's also very important to know what to do when the feature
is not available ;)" :)

Ciprian

When you configure the VRFs on R1 and R6, you are making them PE routers as
well. So you will need a feature to overcome the OSPF
issue:

OSPF Support for Multi-VRF on CE Routers

It's also very important to know what to do when the feature is not
available

Thanks for the site, it's great.

But the help raised more questions, after some good playing around.

I started from the mpls-vpn topo (
http://www.ccie18473.net/dynamips2/7-mpls-vpn-1.zip), did lots of other
modifications, but in the end got one that i don't fully understand we it
don't work. The stortcut modif are:
- between R1-R2 and R5-R6 put eBGP with the same AS on R1, R6;
- put as-overide on R2+R5 for R1+R6
ok ping from R1 to R6
- add a backlink between R1-R6 (fa0/1) and run ospf on it
- shut the link R5-R6
- add a loop50 in vrf RED on R5 + redisp conn in bgp on R5
- on R1 move all interfaces into a vrf-lite IUB + the ospf and bgp peer
- on R1 redisp bgp in ospf
- on R6 move all in vrf-lite IUB (different rd than R1, but same ospf
process id) And :( on R6 i have in the DB the Loop50_R5, but not in routing
table

a debug ospf say that the route is ignored beacouse tag is equal VPN tag.

if i change the tag on R1 with a route-map at the redistribution bgp to
ospf, all is well.

What i get is that is a default looping mechanism in action, but don't
understand exactlly.

All the modifications in the net and confs can be found here, just say
import when dynamips starts.

If someone can explain a little and/or point to some documentation that
explains, it is much appreciate.

Thanks,

Ciprian

P.S. little about me: i'm working on getting my first CCIE, the SP one
