If you want to read a layer 2 book that can match the depth of Doyle9s book
for TCP/IP:

Cisco LAN Switching by Cisco Press
Interconnection by Radia Perlman for more advanced deep diving

Both of those are CCIE or above, and specifically Radia9s book is a nice
challenge to really unpack switching. If you want to know how good a book
is look at the number of pages. Radia crams far more, in far less words....
