What you are saying is true.But to LAB up some configurations , need more
memory for new IOSs. Means money. So unless i am going to get those things
in the LAB , no point spending money.
(earlier versions of the 12.4t could be squeezed in to routers with memory
less than recomended , but some later versions can not)

So , for me , the IOS matters.

Perhaps i need to move to Dynamips.
