Pobodies Nerfect-
When following the links for Config, products, IOS, 12.4, 12.4T, Reference
Guides, Command References, IP Routing RIP command reference, RIP commands,
timers basic there is no mention of the option for the sleep timer, which
follows the flush timer.
That is another example of when a command supported by the IOS is not
mentioned in the command reference provided for it.
Not a big deal, just an FYI.

Bit,
To the best of my knowledge of how Cisco organizes its external docs this is
not true. In fact when you move from 12.3 to 12.4 or from 12.4T to 15.0 the
new command reference is what it says; it's a command reference! so in
theory
it does have to include all the commands supported by that particular
version
of the code. Even sometimes they publish the list of "unsupported commands".
I'd be happy to see more examples of the commands supported by the IOS for
instance 12.4T and not mentioned in the command reference...

Hello Kambiz and all,
the issue is not this particular command which was only an example.
The real issue is the following:
- the 'command reference' is organized per IOS release, I am only
interested in IOS here, and every release specific command reference
contains a subset of IOS commands specific to it. This is a pain when I
want to pick a certain command and don't know in which IOS to look.
- on the other side it seems to exist a release independent 'command
reference that contains ALL the commands of ALL releases for ALL
platform. This is what I am hunting. I found a section of it at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/ios/iproute_bgp/command/reference/ir
g
_book.html
'This document contains Cisco IOS commands that are supported in many
different software releases and on many different platforms.....'
This is just a section, I would like to reach the main index.
Thanks,
bit.

the
NSR with SSO in BGP feature then I can tell you it's supported only when you
run IOS S or X series. If that's not the case and my built-in IOS version
adviser is not on the right track you've got to send some more info
through:)
