Sounds like you have a mac flap issue. Ip sla wont fix this.

Have you resolved STP, channeling and trunking issues between the switch and the blade servers?

What switch do the blade servers use? Or are they directly on Cisco 6509 ports?

Please give us more information about your topology so we can pinpoint the issue.

You can also upload "show tech" to a filedrop site and post a link for us to grab it

Subject: Network latency issues

Hi All,

I am having two 6509E's configured as VSS.I have 24 HP blade servers
terminating on it directly. Though i have a throughput of 1.4 Tb i am facing
packet losses on many of the servers. How can I configure ip sla for icmp, http
traffic and how can i analyse their logs to pin point the issue? can anyone
help in that? someetimes i get 8 ms an sometimes its as high as 1585ms the
trip time.
