Marko,
I agree with you. This is the future. I also think Ciscos
compensation was more than fair. Refund AND a voucher. But when you put all
your heart and resources into something and you plan a window and sign up
you want it to work. The compensation softens the blow but I'm sure that
anyone who has gone thru this would probably tell you they'd rather have
had the lab up and running and reliable than their money back. That's my
point. I'm not familiar with the internal politics/logistics of delivering
this solution. I'm sure the Cisco folks aren't happy about it either.

Well, you know what they say ... "s*it happens". I happen to know some
people who are working on this project within Cisco and I assure you
that they are also nowhere as happy as they were hoping to be.

Yes, there were problems, yes, they quickly became aware of them and
yes... I think they addressed the candidate issues quickly and in a
VERY gentlemanly way. Hey - everyone got a voucher AND a refund. For
me, that sounds reasonable for a relatively failed attempt.

I see this as a future and I truly believe in it. CCIE R&S exam is the
exam about knowledge, technology and being an expert in them... not in
finding travel accommodation in Brussels, RTP, Sydney, San Jose, etc.
I wholeheartedly welcome this project by Cisco and I wish they
succeed.

From my end, I have actually provided Cisco with all the feedback we
at IPexpert received in order to help them out clear out the issues
for the possible next attempt.

I know they are working hard to correct issues we heard about and I'm
sure they will make it work better.
