Control-shift-6-6 (and only here release control-shift) x

The first 6 gets you all the way back, then each 6 drops you in further by 1
hop in your cascade of telnets.

Subject: Return to middle terminal server

Hi Expert

If I do not have direct connectivity to terminal server (S2), I need to rely
on a staging router before login the terminal server (ie step 1 - Telnet to
S1 from Workstation , step 2 - Perform 2nd telnet to S2 from S1). However, I
cannot return to S2 by using "Ctrl-shift-6 X" after login into R1 (ie
routers behind terminal server). *Whenever I issue "Ctrl-shift-6 X" on R1,
it will return to S1 (staging router).*

Is there any quick way to return to S2 (terminal server) from R1 (or R2...
R6) ?

Topology

           ---> R1

           ---> R2
Workstation --> Staging router (S1) --> Terminal Server (S2) ---> R3

           ---> R4

           ---> R5

           ---> R6
