OT: Modifying Putty colors

Hey Gurus,

Did anyone successfully modify putty colors on windows? I'd like for have
green text on black background

"The PuTTY configuration->Colours->Cursor Text->Green:255" with ANSI colours
& 256-colour mode - all checked, doesn't seems to work
