It uses IOS and IOS-XR. Its not generally a DC router as it is focused
on the service provider market for core routing and a high density
edge router

Again, CRS-1 is a bit much for DC unless you're a major player in the
inet space. N7k and CRS-1 are not remotely on the same field with
regard to the various SP-centric services.

Only for people who are very internet-centric. Otherwise, they're not
peering at these IXPs.

The functionality is completely different. It has a different market
than Cat6k and derives its utility from high speed connectivity,
distributed forwarding from Day 1, high speed switching fabric, etc

The comparison is more apples to oranges once you move past "well, it
does IP processing".
