The real reason will probably be a mystery but I was told officially that
there were logistical issues associated with hardware. It doesn't just
affect the 5500s. It affects some other platforms as well. My lead time for
some 5520s I have in the queue was 25-90 days.

All,

I know there was a thread about this a couple of days ago, but I don't
remember if anyone ever confirmed this rumor...

We tried to order an ASA 5505 for a customer yesterday and we were told
that
Cisco has put ASA production on hold until they solve some sort of memory
issue. Has anyone else heard this?
