arp reply for static nat?

Hello experts,

For a static nat translation entry on a router, will it respond to the arp
request for that translation entry?

For ex:

R1 (10.1.1.1/24) ------ (10.1.1.2/24) e0/0 R2 e0/1 (10.2.2.2/24) ------ (
10.2.2.3/24) R3

R2 is having static nat, ip nat inside source static 10.2.2.3 10.1.1.3
int e0/1 -> ip nat inside
int e0/0 -> ip nat outside

When i ping from R1 to 10.1.1.3, its not getting a reply.
I did debug arp on R1 and R2 and found R1 is generating arp request for
10.1.1.3 and R2 is reciveing the request from R3. But R3 is not replying..

If someone can help me on this it wod be gr8.
