While I have not tried that specific app - Vista and Win 7 issues like this are almost always the result of permission issues.
Have you attempted the Run As Administrator option in conjunction with the compatibility mode adjustment? Also, what specific version of Win 7 are you using (do not forget to specify 32 or 64 bit)?
You will not get flamed for your polite OT post, but you might for using Windows.
