While I don't disagree with this advice, keep in mind that there are substantial changes in 8.2 with new licensing models. If you plan on going this route, I would recommend you upgrade to 1 gig of RAM on your ASA. With the latest Broadview 8.3 release, you're required to move to 1 gig. 8.2 already recommended 512. If you're interested in non Cisco part numbers for RAM, let me know.
