That would make sense...
To keep consistency, Cisco would have to do something. Meaning that with
moving testing into the Vue centers, their current (well, ok, ancient but
functional) Secure CRT site-license would not extend onto the Vue
machines.
So rather than spending extra $$ in order to license that, they would
need to adopt something different in order to be able to implement the
SAME functionality whether in a Cisco-office lab or a Vue Professional
lab. Putty would seem to be the logical choice.
Thank (insert your favorite deity here) that it wasn't just
Hyperterminal! Back in the old days that's what we had to use! :)
