I generally prefer to sit idly by on the sidelines and try to glean from this
board the nuggets of information useful to my CCIE studies.B There are many
intelligent and articulate instructors willing to assist those in need of
technical assistance.B For them I am grateful.
B
I am willing to forego the tons of useless email from those using the forum as
a place to vent their frustrations or pound their chests in a glory seeking
attempt while I look for those nuggets of useful information.B I generally
dismiss those useless emails as I would the ranting of an adolescent that
feels unjustly wronged based on their immaturity and lack of life experience.
B
If Cisco decides that they can assure that the requirements for the core
knowledge can be met through a specific learning program then so be it.B I
have not read it as take the 360 program and get a free pass.B As I
understand it, take the 360 program, prove to the instructor your
understanding (answer three of four questions correctly, maybe) and you are
exempted from taking that part of the exam again.
B
It may not be a direct comparison but, it has several similarities.B When I
got my motorcycle license, there were a couple of options.B First, was to go
to the DPS office and take the written exam and, then schedule a driving test
that was graded by an officer.B Second, was to take the written at the DPS
office and, take a three day safety course that consisted of 1.5 days of
instructions and 1.5 days of riding instruction.B This course was approved by
DPS and one must demonstrate their riding proficiency at the end of the class.
B
The training course exempted one from taking the driving test again.B Both
consisted of the same requirements to pass, riding proficiency and a written
exam.B Does the fact that the tests were administered by separate trusted
entities make one less valuable than the other?
B
I am sure that I have offended someone and there will be a rash of responses
telling me how wrong I am.B Perhaps that was my intent.B Maybe, this was
just my opportunity to dust off my bshit stirring stickb and incite those
that feel the need to rant about their perceived injustice.B Either way, let
the ranting begin.
B
As I have heard it said bLife is not fair.B If it were, we would all be
living in grass huts with dirt floors, or wondering where our next meal was
coming from.B Be grateful it isnbtb.
