One could argue that since you didn't have the dedicated
troubleshooting section or OEQ in your lab, you can't compare your
"earned not bought" number to those doing V4 of the lab :) Just like
our 8hr lab can't be compared to the old 2 day lab ;)

The way I see it, Cisco want to know that you've learned the stuff in
the OEQ. You can either do it their way, with the 360 program, and
possibly get a waiver, or you learn it your own way and have to prove
it. Greg Ferro's take on this is interesting and if Cisco's motives
are what he suggests then I think it's wrong. Actually I think the OEQ
don't belong in the lab exam at all. The written exams need to be
improved so that they prove the candidate actually understands the
stuff.

No matter what Cisco does as far as changing the lab exams, people
will complain, especially those who've invested a lot of time
preparing and don't pass before the changes are in effect. But we all
know that they can change every 6 months so your prep should take that
into account.
