I don't care too much about the waiver as 360 guys still need to prove
themselves to a proctor (just in a different setting). I care more
about the 30 minutes. Last time I took the lab (sep-08) I didn't have
any time issues, but with this new setup (v4) I would just have to be
quicker still...
Oh well, as always, if you prep well it's doable, so who cares about
all those others who pass the lab in different, maybe less elegant
ways. Does it devalue the cert? Maybe, but not to the extent that it
becomes less valuable than CCxP, right? Everybody knows there are
plenty of "fake" CCIE-ers out there, but they will get their share at
a job interview with an experienced engineer (CCIE or not) or
otherwise during a customer meeting...
Do I care about those people? No, because it doesn't devalue my CCIE
certification when it's backed up with actual knowledge.
But, come on, we are talking about four lousy questions! If you get
those for "free" that hardly devalues their certification.
Let's get back to work!
